EAGLE'S NEST / MORENO VALLEY, NEW MEXICO
(THIS CASE IS STILL PENDING IN AN ALBEQUERQUE COURT - ADDITIONAL DETAILS TO FOLLOW.
THE D.A. HAS SHARED STRONG FEELINGS THAT THIS NEEDS TO BE STOPPED)
With the ongoing battle between the ranchers who misinterpret the law, thus taking
many liberties against the good tax paying citizens of the area, there needs to be
some intervention between a reliable outside source to bring correction to replace
corruption in this region.
Not long ago, Leroy Moore, who, admittedly has killed over one hundred dogs, many
of which were on their own property when shot, gloated over the fact that he plans
to kill another hundred by the end of this year. "Oh, they don't have to be
harassing
the cattle or even on my land " he chuckled. I know that Judge
Caldwell has my back!"
he exclaimed. "I've got too much on him to think he would allow me to be
arrested
for about anything''.
This seems to honestly be the case. Ex police chief Bill Connelly feels very
strongly
that this man is one of the biggest menacing factors that respectable citizens face
out here.
Mr. Moore pulled up on the lawn of Sandra Lowe and her husband recently and pointed a
gun at their dogs in the yard. He screamed at them for allowing them to chase his
cattle about 15 minutes earlier. When Sandra and her husband tried to explain that
they had all just returned from a walk with the dogs, Moore became outraged and asked
them if it would be alright for him to simply shoot the dogs right there in the yard,
so he w ouldn't have to return later and sneak around. Obviously frightened, Sandra
and her husband began screaming at Moore as he drove away laughing.
Shortly thereafter, the LOWES were summoned to court to answer to charges filed by Mr
Moore that the Lowe couple had tried to shoot him. Moore has this couple
shaking in
their shoes now, because he bragged recently that once he has his day in court with
Judge Caldwell, his drinking buddy, the Lowe's (who operate a boarding kennel and do
a substantial amount of rescue and rehabilitation for homeless and abused pets) will
wonder what happened to ALL their damn dogs once he's done with them.
The Lowe's were told by attorneys that the Albuquerque Journal was the worst place they
could tell their story and that the initial fee is $10,000 and when it goes to trial,
an additional $40,000 would be required. They don't have this type of money.
Additionally, if they are on their own property and someone threatens them, then why are
they being sued?
Moore follows people around to harass them. He drives down their drive ways
and then
leaves. He parks behind them at businesses and forces them to beg him to move so
they
can move on, as he laughs outloud.
I believe it's about time that the local community come together and take the law into
their own hands. It's time that we show Mr. Moore the way OUT of this part of New
Mexico, while he can still make it on his own.
