Here is a small sampling of the approximately 143 letters sent to the Oprah Winfrey Show in an   attempt to nominate my efforts as the recipient of her ANGEL NETWORKS AWARDS monthly $100,000 donation provided to those who 'Give Your Life' to a worthy cause.

To Whom It may concern::

Rarely in life do any of us ever come across someone who is truly a selfless servant. Someone who not just SPENDS their life on a worthy cause, but INVESTS their life in that worthy cause. A few short months ago, I was blessed enough to meet such a man. His name is Randy Warner.

Randy is a single, middle-aged man living in Lucerne, California who has literally devoted his life to educating, inspiring, and motivating people to take action. His cause...people and their pets. Randy works with 'at risk' teens, elementary schools, children with special needs and underprivileged youth, as well as numerous other groups in helping educate them about the atrocities of abuse, neglect, and eventual euthanizing of millions of unwanted dogs in the U.S. each year.

Randy is a no-nonsense kind of guy. He is straightforward and honest. He's a wonderful communicator with a great sense of humor. He shares his passion and vision with thousands through his website, his media exposure, and his relentless pursuit of changing America's hearts and minds to understand the responsibilities of what it means to be a good pet owner.

This guy Randy is literally a one-man show. He reaches so many people and he does it with so few resources.

In the past few decades, Randy has helped myself, my family, and countless thousands to learn to love, nurture, train, and properly care for their family pet. And here is the awesome thing...He does this totally FREE OF CHARGE! He currently has over 30 dogs at his own home, and he works at finding homes for them. He has literally saved thousands of dogs from imminent death by finding good homes for them, and then works with the families to educate them.

Over 8 million animals are needlessly euthanized each year. There are so many people breeding dogs while we already have such an overabundance. Not only are we killing so many innocent animals, but we're also spending millions of tax dollars because people like myself don't know any better. I thought it would be a great learning experience for my kids, if we were to breed a litter of puppies. I, like most Americans, was completely and totally blind to the fact of what the end result would likely be. Randy helped to educate my family and myself and now I've helped spread the word. Randy is an incredible dog trainer. But really, his more important function is being a people trainer. He educates and trains our next generation to stop making the mistakes that their parents made. One by one, Randy invests his time and his resources to help so many people. His message has already reached tens of thousands.

The Angel Network Award is such a fitting award for Randy. I see what a huge difference he has made in the lives of so many people and their pets. And I can only imagine what could truly be done with a little extra money. Please consider Randy as the next recipient of your Award.

Thankful for Randy and his mission,

To Whom It May Concern:

I am a practicing veterinarian who has worked directly with humane societies, rescue organizations, spay and neuter services, and in private clinical practice for over fifteen years. As such I have seen wonderful things accomplished by individuals who are saving animals from the horrible irresponsibility and abuse of uneducated owners. In this vast network, I have never been so impressed as I am by the efforts and success of Randy Warner.

Randy is one single individual who, of his own accord, took on the task of rescuing neglected and abused Dalmatians over sixteen years ago. THAT'S SIXTEEN YEARS of diligently, one by one, saving, socializing, placing and following up on nearly to 3000 DALMATIONS! His passion and determination are unstoppable. But most importantly, Randy has targeted the CAUSE of the senseless destruction of 23 million ADOPTABLE animals each year.

EDUCATION IS LACKING. From the backyard breeder to the fad-oriented pet owner, through the parent looking for a kid's pet, to the child himself, nobody has been TEACHING people how to responsibly own a pet. RANDY IS CHANGING THIS. He has created a very simple, straightforward 90-minute program for the schools to EDUCATE OUR CHILDREN. The amazing thing about this is that there often follows, when it comes to animals, a "trickle up" effect on the parents.

Because of uneducated adults, 2/3 of all puppies born this year will end up in the pound. 2/3 of
ADOPTED pups are sold or sent to homes with no information about how to care for or socialize them.  These animals are THE ANIMALS that you hear about being euthanized in the pound.

Randy and "21st Century Cares" has created the absolute solution to this problem with his educational program. He deserves this award more than anyone I know, and will use it to not only educate the children in the schools, but train and socialize adopted animals for FREE (something he's been doing already with the Dalmatians) and teach ADULTS to pick the right pets, as well. I sincerely hope you seriously consider  Randy Warner for receipt of the Angel Network Award. I believe every penny will be responsibly utilized and the beneficial effects will extend well into the human relationship arena, as well.

Very Sincerely,

To Whom It May Concern:

I can truly appreciate the far-reaching benefits of an award such as this. Far too few people will involve themselves in a worthwhile cause or even take seriously, the responsibilities they have in their own lives, to task. I just recently retired from my position as General Manager of Los Angeles County Animal Control.  I've seen the worst of the worst, as well as the best of the best. Unfortunately the latter is so rare that when one has the opportunity and pleasure of meeting one of them, it's not easily forgotten. That is why I would like to cast a strong vote for Mr. Randy Warner. Mr. Warner has been active in humane education within our school district in Los Angeles for several years. Now, that my wife and I moved to our retirement home in Murrieta, California, we've had the pleasure of re uniting with Randy and his selfless efforts.

Let me just say, the man does it all. He trains people in order for them to keep their dogs out of harms way and in the family home, rescues hundreds of dogs per year and finds them homes as well. His fame has mainly been with the breed of Dalmatians as the incredible influx of the breed in our nations' dog pounds has jumped dramatically over the past decade thanks to the Disney Blockbuster Movies. Although many heroes do what they can for the rescue effort and they should all be commended on their huge hearts, hard work and endless toiling, Mr. Warner, in my mind has the mindset and the drive to truly make the difference we've all known would make things better for humans and animals alike.

Randy is active in the education of children, youth and adults of all ages and cross sections of our society who really need to hear what he has to say. He is diligently working on a humane education program for all the schools in the area and would someday like to take it nationwide. It is not a radical program, but one of good common sense and responsibility.

Randy Warner could be one of the most valuable people I've met. What really makes me feel so strongly is that he hasn't made a dime through his efforts for the entire 8 years I’ve known him. He lives day to day off donations and the occasional dog training and public appearance fee.

Again, I hope you will give this man some serious consideration with the awarding of your ANGEL NETWORK monies. It would go a long ways in helping our next generation to better understand the wonderful connection between man and his companion animals.
